January 2023 - Newsletter

FROM THE FOUNDER

Dear friends of Nourished Hearts,

We have exciting news! God has blessed our organization with connections in Romania to be able to send a convoy of food and other necessities into the Odesa Oblast. We cannot stop praising God. Join us.

Here are the details we can share: - Nourished Hearts, president, Kim de Blecourt, has been introduced to a humanitarian aid organization in Bucharest. Their name is UBC 22. They handle convoy transportation. Each of their trucks holds 2 tons of aid. They have also invited us to "shop" from their warehouses for anything else needed. Please consider joining our effort with a funding gift.

- We had a Zoom meeting with UBC 22 and lead pastor Ovi Martin of the Alliance of Evangelical Churches of Arad, Romania. His group is trying to provide everything on our lists from Yuzhny (Pastor Oleg and Island of Hope center leader, Stepan Koisa), Kilia (Pastor Andrei), and Petrovka (missionary Denise Carter). Please join us in prayer for these Ukrainian ministries. - Kim flies into Bucharest the last week of January to oversee/make introductions between the groups involved and attend necessary meetings. Please pray for these meetings in advance. - Our convoys leave Bucharest in late January for all three locations. They will most likely overnight in Ukraine. Please pray for the ability of all our trucks to make it to their destinations safely. - Kim returns to the US after convoy prep and meetings with other OVC (orphaned and vulnerable children) ministries. Please pray over all meetings and conversations to be encouraging and God-honoring - only He knows what our next ministry opportunity could be.

We have reached out to many to help cover our convoy costs. We are still in desperate need of funding to make all this happen. Can you help make this humanitarian aid convoy a reality? If you feel led to help, please make your donation at nourishedhearts.org or mail your check to Nourished Hearts, P.O. Box 1074, Holland, MI 49422-1074.

Thank you for your prayers. We invite you to follow our progress on our Nourished Hearts Facebook page. We will also feature highlights from the trip in our next e-newsletter.

Peace and grace,

Kim de Blecourt, president
